As a parent, I watched my daughter develop a love for learning to sew. She knew how to knit. She is very good with your hands. When the Enrichment clusters came out she quickly selected quilting. Fast forward, 6 months later. She got a sewing machine from Santa this year and sewed a quilt during spring break. I probably would not have thought to buy her a sewing machine. Now I know.
Thanks for giving our kids such a great 360 degree experience with learning! This year, they have implemented absolutely everything you've taught them in the classroom in every way I can think of. This is the kind of education our kids need going out into the world that awaits them.
The clusters encourage and support the students' need to try new things and different experiences. This entire approach to education is wonderful because it celebrates the process of learning.
What I liked most about my child's experience in the enrichment cluster was the hands-on learning and seeing actual results with a finished product. My child had a great time learning by trail and error on the design phase of the project, but the end result of the finished product was the best reward.
I loved the idea of having my daughter learn about giving her time and energy to helping others. I think she learned that something that seems small can mean so much to someone else and her efforts can touch the lives of others.
I think my child is very lucky to be able to find what she loves to do. She really likes to do all things in the enrichment cluster.
He is getting together with a team and that improves teamwork. He is learning new things.
